When Leah woke up this morning, she was feeling achy and got sick. But after a dose of Zofran, she felt better and has been able to enjoy this frigid snow day. We think Leah will be able to attend school the day after her treatment, at least in the afternoon. She explains that she doesn’t feel normal the day after chemo, but she feels fine.
Yesterday was Leah’s thirty-ninth treatment. The thirty-ninth time toxic drugs have been pumped into her body. And every time, I am amazed by her resiliency. Even when she’s feeling crummy, she’ll manage a twirl across the kitchen or a quiet tap step in her socks.
A dear friend gave me a pendant that says, “she knew she could do anything because her strength came from Him.” Philippians 4:13. There is no doubt.
